Framestore / Warner Bros

I worked on Wonka as a Creature Artist at Framestore Montreal, where I was responsible for the full 3D modeling of the flamingos featured in the film. Starting from photographic references, I sculpted the birds entirely from scratch, ensuring anatomical accuracy and a close visual match to real-life flamingos.

A particularly rewarding part of the process involved manually placing and simulating hundreds of individual feathers, especially in the chest, back, and tail areas. This required both artistic precision and a deep dive into avian anatomy and behavior to achieve believable motion and layering.

It was a challenging and fascinating task, and a great example of the kind of detailed creature work that makes VFX characters feel alive. Huge kudos to the entire Framestore team for such a beautifully coordinated production.

I worked on Tiddles the dog too. I did most of the initial stages on him, we ingested a raw scan, reconstructed his head and anatomy, and I also did a few facial expressions to match reference footage. The amazing modeling team at Framestore brought Tiddles forward to have such a fantastic look
